To be invited for an interview, an application should show clear evidence of: - Proficiency in the basic sciences as evidenced by: the successful completion of two years in an LCME accredited medical school or by passing the USMLE Step 1+2 by the second try with a score over 200 in both.
- A meaningful clinical experience in a United States health care facility for not less than two months duration in the last five years: this experience must include direct patient care including the examination of patients, writing notes and the development of a plan of care.
- Two letters expressing positive evaluations of the US experience: one from each experience if they were performed in two different facilities or two from different attending physicians if the two months were performed at the same facility.
- A full year of direct, clinical patient care within the last five years defined as: clinical rotations, residency or employment in a clinical facility as a physician.
- ECFMG certified at the time of application.
- Acceptable visas include: transfer of existing H1B or J1s as sponsored by the ECFMG. We do not sponsor HIB visas.
